Velocitry is a one-person business run by Jacob Okunega in London, United Kingdom. This policy explains, in plain English, what information I collect, why, who else can see it, and how to get it deleted. I am the data controller for everything described here.
The short version: I collect the minimum needed to diagnose and fix your PC. I never sell your data, never share it for marketing, and I delete it on request. The diagnostic scan reads system information only — it never opens your documents, photos, emails, browsing history or passwords.
The scan tool runs on your computer, reads system information, and sends one file to me. It collects:
What it does not collect: your files or their contents, documents, photos, browsing history, passwords, product keys, Wi-Fi credentials, or keystrokes. It makes no changes to your computer.
One honest caveat: Windows event log excerpts and startup entries can incidentally contain a file path or your Windows account name — for example C:\Users\yourname\.... I strip account names and account identifiers before the file leaves your computer, but I would rather tell you the risk exists than claim perfection.
The enquiry form collects your name, email address, the service you are interested in, and your message. If you book work, I keep the notes needed to do it and to honour the guarantee.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to me — I only see that a payment succeeded, the amount, and your name and email.
The site uses Cloudflare, which records basic request information (IP address, browser, page requested) for security and to keep the site online. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

I use a small number of established providers to run the business. They only ever process your data to provide their service to me, and none of them are permitted to sell it:
Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the providers' own approved safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent standard contractual clauses.
I do not sell your data, and I do not share it for anyone else's marketing. I will only disclose it if the law requires it.

Email scans@velocitry.app and I will respond within 30 days. There is no charge. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
The website and the scan upload are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). The scan endpoint is rate limited. Access to your data is limited to me. No system is perfect, and I will not pretend otherwise — if there is ever a breach affecting your data, I will tell you and the ICO within 72 hours as the law requires.
Velocitry's services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If a parent or guardian arranges work on a child's computer, they are the customer.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting existing customers will be emailed.
